Action Plan: Response to Veterans Ombudsman's Report - 2012

The Board has received the Veterans Ombudsman's report to the Minister of Veterans Affairs entitled Veterans' Right to Fair Adjudication.

Over recent weeks and months, I have listened to feedback from Veterans and their families. They want to have confidence that when they come to the Board, they will be treated fairly. As Chair of the Board, I want to make sure this happens. Our response to the Ombudsman's recommendations is an important part of our plans to build their confidence.

The Board's Action Plan responds to the report with specific and measurable actions that will improve the appeal program for Veterans and other applicants as soon as possible. I invite you to read it.
