Strategies / Comments

  1. Definition: “Printing units” include all stand-alone and network printers.
  2. Target scope: does not include fax machines, scanners, and offices with less than five people, which represents less than 2% of office employees. Does not include four printing units that are used for the sole purpose of printing information used at hearings across Canada. VRAB does not have access to an on-site print shop, i.e. St. Joseph's Printing.
  3. The number of printing units is determined by a manual count of the Printing Unit Inventory;
  4. The number of employees is available in the Human Resources Staffing Reports.
  5. Only network printers will be used and all remaining stand alone printers will be removed.
  6. The location of all remaining network printers will be reconfigured to accommodate more users per printer.
  7. Multifunction printers are replacing single-purpose units.
