Veterans Review and Appeal Board Welcomes Interim Deputy Chairperson and Board Member Reappointments

The Veterans Review and Appeal Board is pleased to acknowledge the reappointment of six Board Members by the Governor in Council, reflecting the Government of Canada’s continued commitment to ensuring Veterans and their families have access to fair, timely and informed decision-making.
The Board also welcomes the appointment of long-standing Board Member, Richard Thibault, as Interim Deputy Chairperson, who will provide leadership and support in advancing the Board’s mandate and strengthening services.
Mr. Thibault brings over 35 years of experience with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, including more than two decades in senior management roles. Throughout his career, he developed extensive expertise in the application of policies and procedures, leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, and overseeing the delivery of national training programs. His experience also includes international service with the United Nations in Haiti and the Canadian International Development Agency in Jordan.
The Board congratulations the following Board Members on their five-year term reappointments:
- Gabrielle Fortin
- Jason Glover
- Sean Layden
- Cory Micalef
- Nancy Miller
- Sundeep Singh
These reappointments allow the Board to continue serving Veterans and their families by providing timely, respectful hearings and fair decisions, ensuring they obtain the benefits to which they are entitled for service-related disabilities.
